Eagle Project Idea: One for the Birds

This message was forwarded to me from our District Advancement Chair:

I had a phone call from Robyn at Centre Wildlife Care who would like to have several more outdoor flight cages built to assist in rehabilitating birds so they can be released back to the wild and thought they could be good Eagle Scout projects.  She did not mention any timeline during our conversation but they usually get the most animals during the spring and summer.  Several scouts have done Eagle Scout projects for this rescue center in the past and all has gone well as far as I know.  The center is located off of Skytop Mountain Road just before it gets to old Route 220 while traveling west from State College.  Robyn’s phone number is 692-0004.

If you’re a Life Scout and you’re interested in this project, feel free to contact Robyn.  After you get the details and want to move forward, be sure to check with your Scoutmaster.
