So, you made Life Scout, but you’re wondering what is left for you to do in the troop? After all, you just have a few more merit badges and a project, then you’re an Eagle and done, right?
If that’s the way you’re thinking, you’re missing some golden opportunities. Sure, I can tell you about the importance of staying involved, refining your leadership skills and giving back to the troop/community. And those are all important. But today, I’m going to just say two words: High Adventure.
Our most experienced scouts are prime for an adventure of their own. That’s why the PLC scheduled a planning meeting for nothing more than generating ideas and choosing a high adventure destination for anyone that’s made it to Life Scout or beyond.
Life and Star scouts are invited to come to the building on Monday night to share their ideas about their ultimate adventure. Their idea was for those who earned Life to go on a joint venture some time in 2014.
