If you are a member and have entered your Membership ID number into your MyScouting profile, your Youth Protection training session will be recorded in the BSA training records database automatically upon successful completion.
If you are a member and have not entered your Membership ID number into your MyScouting profile, please do so the next time you log into MyScouting by using the “Update My Profile” function. The BSA training records database will update accordingly.
If you do not have a Membership ID number, please print the completion certificate and take to your local Scout Service Center to make certain your accreditation for Youth Protection Training is matched to your personal record. You will receive your Membership ID number from the unit, or council office if you are not attached to a unit.
If you are applying for membership; complete the course, print the certificate of completion, and submit it with your volunteer application, either directly to the Scout Service Center or to the unit leader. When your volunteer application is approved, you will receive a BSA membership card, which includes your Membership ID number. You must enter this Membership ID number into your MyScouting profile so your local council has a record of the training you have taken online. To do this, log into MyScouting, click My Profile, and enter your Membership ID number, which will link your Youth Protection Training, and any other MyScouting training, to your BSA membership.
REMEMBER – YOU MUST COPMETE YOUTH PROTECTION TRAINING EVERY TWO YEARS TO REMAIN CURRENT, OR YOU WILL NOT BE RE-REGISTERED.
